As part of an educational opportunity, your child has been invited to attend the 2018 Financial Literacy Summit on Thursday February 22nd. At this event, your child will learn about a range of important financial literacy topics including how to fund post-secondary school, understand credit, consumer behaviour and spending habits, make a budget and save money as a student.
This summit, hosted by the student-led company Don’t Freak Out! (dontfreakout.ca), will be held at the North Grenville Municipal Centre in Kemptville. Students will be served a lunch as part of the event. Students will have the opportunity to learn alongside fellow students, engage with financial experts, and interact with important materials related to their financial literacy.
Grade 11 students from St. Michael Catholic High School will walk to the North Grenville Municipal Centre at 9:15am and will return to school in time for regular dismissal.
